SEVEN CAPERS LAND TEAM NS CALL-UPS!
CAPERS Academy is proud to announce that we have SEVEN island players in the final Soccer Cape Breton Provincial squads for 2026.
The selected players are as follows:
U14 GIRLS: Claire Kaupp, Evelyn Power, Avery Kelloway.
U15 GIRLS: Elizabeth Carrigan, Norah MacDonald.
U15 BOYS: Matthew Cormier, Grayson MacNeil.
Regional Director of Soccer Development Iain King said: "Having this many players recognised to be in the top level in the Province shows the strides the Academy has made.
"All seven players are hugely dedicated and humble with the work ethic and coachability to improve their games every day.
"We would have had eight players had our U15s Girls striker Ella Mills not been injured and we wish her a speedy recovery."
CAPERS Also had another seven players on standby from the original Provincial long list.
Showing the strength in depth of the club they were:
U14 GIRLS: Simone Pennington, Talia Cordoba, Maya Boudreau.
U14 BOYS: Abiram Gudimetla.
U15 GIRLS: Jena Macaulay, Carly Richardson.
U16 BOYS: Owen MacLean.
Iain added: "The margins are fine at this level but this is a snapshot in time for the players who just missed out.
"They are terrific players who have big seasons and great development journeys ahead of them and we are extremely proud of their growth."
The CAPERS Academy teams are currently in their Pre-Season block, they will begin competitive action in the Nova Scotia Soccer League on May 2.
