CAPE BRETON FC is holding Open Sessions for players who wish to earn a slot on the U13AA and U15AA Girls teams over the next 10 days.
The sessions will be on April 10, 15 and 17 and they are FREE for players who feel they have the ability level to make the rosters for the Academy squads who will take part in the Nova Scotia Soccer League (NSSL) this summer.

CBFC Technical Director Iain King explained: "With the U13AA Girls squads they play 9 v 9 this summer and we have TWO competing squads, Academy and Competitive. The girls have gone through a talent ID process throughout the Fall/Winter to be placed in the program and are already training.
"We are always conscious, however, that there are multi-sport athletes or new players who have moved into the area and may have missed out on the last block of training and that's what this process is designed for. They will work alongside the players they would be playing with in these squads.
"With the 15s the next 10 days are about firming up our squad ahead of the summer season, we have a lot of gifted multi-sport athletes in this group and we just need to cement a committed squad for the summer travel league season."
