SCB SKILL CENTRE BACK FOR SPRING/SUMMER RUN!

Mar. 19, 2024

SOCCER CAPE BRETON'S flagship Skill Centre program will open for its Spring/Summer 2024 run on Saturday April 13.

Over the last two years Skill Centre has become a huge favourite with players and parents alike loving the U9/U10 and U11/U12 squads that consistently sell out whether they are in Fall/Winter of the upcoming Spring/Summer season.

Skill Centre is designed to help our young players hone their technique and is an ADDED program to any team commitments they have with our excellent local clubs in the outdoor season.

Regional Director of Soccer Development Iain King said: "Since the return of a full-time Technical Staff member in May 2022 the success of Skill Centre is one of the achievements we are most proud of.

"It has really helped us to introduce the game to young athletes, to discover players for our Regional Training Centre and Team Cape Breton projects but most importantly to see so many smiles and foster in the kids a long-term love of the Beautiful Game.

"Skill Centre is where it begins for so many SCB players and we can't wait to see the girls and boys back in action on Saturday April 13.

"During Fall/Winter we had to waitlist some players through sheer force of numbers so I would encourage everyone to register early to avoid disappointment."

The current Fall/Winter Skill Centre program continues as normal on Saturday with the final session of the current Fall/Winter Program on Saturday March 30 before the Easter break.
