MELIA ROBERTS IS A UKC BLUE DEVIL!

Jan. 06, 2026

CAPERS Academy graduate Melia Roberts has landed a Varsity soccer slot with ACAA big guns University of King's College Blue Devils.
The Northside East Bay native starred for the CAPERS Academy U17AAA Girls and for her high school side Riverview Ravens.
Melia, who will be studying a Bachelor of Science at King's, was last season's U18AA Girls Player of the Year with the CAPERS and Defensive MVP with her school.
In what is a landmark achievement she becomes the FIFTH player from the U17AAA Girls to secure a Varsity soccer place!
Melia told UKC media: "I chose King's for the great soccer program and because it's a great city in Halifax yet the school is not too big and it's a welcoming environment.
"I'm excited to play with my new team-mates and for the Blue Devils."
Blue Devils Head Coach Gary Carter has been keeping tabs on the talent that is thriving within the Girls Academy at CAPERS and there is interest in other players who starred in the orange.
For now, though, everyone at the Academy is thrilled for Melia and U17AAA Girls Assistant Head Coach Damien Barry, also the SCB president, pointed out: "So much of this is down to Melia's own work ethic. This is a player who played local league soccer before dedicating herself to win a spot on the U17AAA squad.
"She followed that up by staying in the Academy to have a great season with the U18s last season and win the MVP award. Melia is another great example to the younger girls in the Academy of how they can stay in the game and enjoy soccer alongside their education when they leave us."
