CAPERS Academy is seeking a new Head Coach and Assistant Coach for the U18AA Boys squad who will compete in the Nova Scotia Soccer League (NSSL) in the Summer 2026 season.
The successful applicants will be part of a tight-knit Academy Technical staff and be given mentorship and coach education to help them progress.
This is a NSSL travel team who will play in Tier Two soccer with their home games in Sydney at either CBU or New Waterford and their away matches will be 3/4 weekends away in Halifax over the season which runs from May-August.
CAPERS Academy Technical Director Iain King said: "We would like to place on record our thanks and appreciation to our former U17AAA Boys Head coach Alasdair Dunbar who is taking a break from coaching next year.
"Alasdair devoted so much time to the club and the growth of the players under his care and will always be a valued colleague.
"Now we'd love to hear from dedicated soccer people who are ready to take over a talented squad we feel can push for play-off contention in the AA bracket."
Please send your note of interest with a summary of your soccer experience to: technicaldirector@soccercapebreton.com
The team are currently practicing twice a week in their Winter training block under Iain's guidance and any prospective candidate is welcome to come out and get involved to see if it would be a good fit for both parties.
