COUNTDOWN BEGINS TO CAPERS HOME OPENER

THE clock is ticking down now to the return of AUS Varsity soccer at Ness Timmons Field and the CAPERS Academy will play a huge role in the day as the CAPERS Women's and Men's sides tackle the University of New Brunswick Reds on Saturday September 6.

Home opener weekend is always a special day to show the links between the new Academy set-up and the top teams and this time round a hugely successful summer for the U13s Girls and Boys will be recognised.

When the Women's game kicks off at 1pm the U13AA Girls will be the Player Escorts and ball-fetchers and at half-time the players will be celebrated for a superb achievement when they won BOTH the Premier and Division One brackets in the Winsloe Charlottetown Royals Tournament on Prince Edward Island in July.

The U13AA Boys are also showing superb promise as a team with 60% U12 aged players performed so well to finish mid-table in the tough Tier One of Nova Scotia Soccer League (NSSL) and give a hint of what is to come in the future.

This weekend the U13AA Girls are in the Provincial Final Four at Ness Timmons Field and then they can look forward to their big day in front of the Orange Army.
